ERT Practitioner Program

Emotional Restoration Technique is a gentle emotional healing technique that utilizes frequency testing to identify and release stored emotions, beliefs, and trauma imprints from the body, bringing about deep restoration to the mind, body, and nervous system.

ERT is an incredible modality that seamlessly complements the work of a wide range of professionals, including naturopaths, functional medicine providers, root cause practitioners, nutritionists, talk therapists, somatic and breathwork practitioners, life coaches, and many others in the wellness space.

How does ERT compare to other emotional release methods?

Simply put, ERT is more comprehensive than other methods and specifically geared towards healing chronic illness and the impacts of trauma. While other modalities are more surface level, ERT goes deep to identify and address the physical-emotional connections that are driving illness. If you work with (or would like to work with) individuals struggling with chronic health issues, mental or behavioral issues, or those who have a history of past trauma - ERT can be an incredible addition to what you already offer.

Not only is the method itself so much more specialized and thorough, but the training you receive with it is also unmatched. In other programs, the method is the main focus of the training, and learning about muscle testing, the nervous system, and trauma is usually just briefly touched on - if not entirely skipped. With ERT, we know the importance of having a deep understanding of the interplay between trauma and our physical bodies, of the nervous system, and of being fully confident and capable in your ability to test, troubleshoot, and hold space for clients. Because of that, this program as a whole is much more in depth, provides a lot more education outside of the technique itself, and also ensures that you have mastered the skills needed for competent and effective client application - no matter what your background is.

For health professionals, ERT can accelerate your client results by...

  • supporting nervous system flexibility and the ability to get into a healing, parasympathetic state

  • eliminating chronic symptoms rooted in trauma and emotions

  • clearing drainage pathways being blocked by emotional toxicity

  • improving the body's detox capabilities and immune function by alleviating emotional stressors

  • reducing the need for supplements and improving supplement tolerance and absorption

  • eliminating food/toxin/chemical sensitivities rooted in PTSD and nervous system dysregulation

  • increasing resiliency to both physical and emotional stressors

ERT is especially helpful for clients who struggle with MCAS, histamine sensitivity, or have a hard time tolerating supplements. It is also a game changer for individuals who struggle mentally, tend to spiral with any challenge or symptom fluctuation, obsessively research, and hyper-fixate on toxins, pathogens, supplements, or "figuring out" their illness.

Addressing the emotional side - properly and strategically - will transform your practice and client results and make you a better, more well-rounded practitioner.

If you are a therapist or mental health practitioner, ERT can benefit your patients through all the above and by...

  • helping them tap into and experience their emotions faster

  • gently bringing buried traumas and emotions to their conscious awareness

  • releasing emotional stressors and trauma imprints from a cellular level

  • eliminating the physical stress response to their trauma

  • supporting transformation in individuals who are "stuck" or resistant to doing the work

And, if you are a breathwork facilitator, somatic practitioner, or other mind-body practitioner, ERT can complement your work by...

  • laying a foundation of safety and emotional awareness, speeding up client results

  • helping clients ground into the experience and trust the process instead of rushing through to "fix" themselves

  • clearing away surface level layers so you can go deeper in your other sessions

  • continue making progress in between your other sessions in a gentle way that even very sensitive clients can handle

In addition to the above categories!

Meet Chelsea, the creator and founder of ERT

I have been in the root cause space for almost a decade - first as a client, and later as a practitioner. I first stumbled upon the power of emotional release when I was in the thick of my own chronic illness journey, feeling more stuck than ever before. Emotional release changed the trajectory of my healing journey and is a big part of how I healed my chronic symptoms. It made a bigger impact than talk therapy, breathwork, journaling, tapping, and every other emotional healing tool and therapy I had tried combined.

When I started implementing different emotional release methods with my clients, I found more and more gaps within the popular emotional release modalities. I started making small changes to the methods I was using, and over the course of the last four years, it eventually formed something entirely unique - Emotional Restoration Technique. ERT is the product of 5 years of clinical experience combined with my personal trauma healing experiences and continued education. Although ERT is the most comprehensive technique on the market, is not just about what we test - it's also about becoming a different caliber of practitioner...One that embodies healing instead of just talking about it. One that truly understands the intricate relationship between our physical and emotional health, and how to guide clients in healing at the deepest levels. One that believes in health freedom rather than symptom management, and uses emotional release to cultivate long-term healing - both physically and mentally/emotionally - rather than just using it for short-term relief.

Not only do I aspire to cultivate an incredible team of practitioners within my own practice, I also want to spread this knowledge and help other practitioners become better equipped to support their own clients in true healing.

The WHY behind how we've structured this program

Through my own experience with other emotional release programs, as well as years of mentoring other practitioners coming out of those same programs, I found a couple of things to be true:

1) Practitioners were graduating their programs still utterly confused by muscle testing

I actually created MTCC years ago for this exact reason. Muscle testing is just skimmed over in a lot of these programs, and practitioners find that they have trouble with accuracy, struggle to get a strong answer, and second guess themselves all the time, while others unknowingly allow their own biases to impact their testing. Most programs that I have gone through offered no guidance on troubleshooting or how to feel fully confident in your skills. To prevent this, we require much more in-depth muscle testing training so that you can feel secure in your abilities and ready to work with clients.

2) Practitioners not receiving enough education + risking harm to the client

It is my personal opinion that if you don't have a solid understanding of trauma and the nervous system, that you should not be facilitating any type of emotional healing with clients. Many other programs teach the concept of "stored emotions" but don't educate on the extent to which these emotions can be rooted in and even trigger deeper traumas, or how they impact the nervous system. Without this understanding, you may end up retraumatizing clients because even the most gentle modalities CAN be too much for some individuals if you don't know how to both recognize and handle it when a client needs more support. If you don't understand how to interpret client reactions and how to best support different responses, you are risking harm to the client. For this reason, we include training on these topics so that you can navigate all types of client experiences and reactions with confidence and minimal harm to the client.

3) Practitioners had no personal experience with the work they were doing

Another thing that I have found is that there are many practitioners who start working with clients after only receiving a handful of sessions themselves (if they've done any at all) in the same modality they are providing. There are many downfalls to this - one, if you don't have much experience being the client, how do you know how to offer the best support as a practitioner? And two, if you've never done the healing work yourself, you are limiting yourself in your ability to help others. The extent of the healing work you have done and the state of your nervous system does impact your skill level as a practitioner, and if you haven't committed to your own healing, you risk your own trauma and triggers - conscious or unconscious - negatively interfering with your client sessions, damaging your client relationships, and rendering you unable to support clients past a certain point. This is why we require a certain number of sessions with experienced, competent practitioners to obtain certification and encourage you to continue beyond that.

*I will also note here that doing sessions on yourself does not compare to getting support from a qualified practitioner and will not offer the same benefits or the same level of transformation.
